Bonding in chaos

Look around you.

Do you see togetherness? Do you see bonding?

Do you acknowledge that we as any other living thing on earth need to be together?

Honeybees build a hive together.

Wolves go hunting together.

Twenty years ago, we as a family, used to gather around a small Dayonara TV (RIP) to watch telecasted shows.

This TV was harassed. We used to shake it, hit it when the relay was slow. We used to change the channels N number of times. We shook the wire. We plugged and unplugged for a better telecast.

This TV witnessed everything in my home. If only it was smart enough to capture those moments!

The quiz shows made us compete with each other. TV serials made us forget everything else in our life. Intimate scenes made us flinch and look away.

My father wanted news. My mother wanted a cooking show.

My eldest sibling wanted MTV. My elder sibling wanted a Cricket match.

I wanted Cartoon Network.

When we dint agree with each other, we ended up in a war.

Dad pointed out how we are being useless, mom threatened us of not cooking food. Siblings hid the cable wire and even switched off the power sometimes.

This ruckus over our idiot box brought the family together.

#MyPointOfView

We have forgotten how simple things in life can bring us together.

You do not need expensive vacations to bond.

You do not need a lot of money to bond.

You do not even need the same thought process to bond.

Every day, this ugly TV brought my family together. We did not need more!
